The 1901 census shows Valentine's birth year as 1885. This is obviously incorrect.

Valentine appears with his parents and siblings in the 1891 census in Normanby and is shown as age 7.

The observant reader will notice that Valentine's birth registration shows his first name as William. His marriage registration shows his name as Valentine D. Feick. Since both show his parentage as the same and since it does not appear to represent the same name being used for two different sons, the first one perhaps going to an early grave, then it probably represents a change of name on the part of the parents, perhaps by the time Valentine was baptized. Needless to say, that's a guess.

Voters' list information suggests that Valentine lived out his life in Ayton. His wife Lorena seems to have spent her last days in Preston, Ontario.
