Father Jacob B. Martin, born Waterloo County, mother Annie Musselman born Germany. Physician Dr. J. R. Patterson of Glenallan. Informant Josiah F. Martin, Wallenstein, son. Burial April 17, 1920

The above death registration is inaccurate. Mary's father was Christian Frey and, best information, he was born in Germany. The information shown is probably a misunderstanding of the question. Mary's parents are either living next door or on the same property. The form does accurately show the name of Mary's mother, but she was born in Canada. Also, the Wellington County branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society provides a transcription of South Peel Mennonite Cemetery and this gives the dates of birth for both Jacob and Mary. The only question would as to whether Mary was born in Waterloo Village or Waterloo Township. She was likely born in the township.
