BirthBenjamin N. Ward was born in 1837.
MarriageHe married Millicent Culham, daughter of Henry Culham and Desdemona Ann Munn, on 21 June 1860 at Beverly Township, Canada West.
A transcription of the 27 June, 1860, edition of the Dumfries Reformer, as transcribed by Rosemary Willard Ambrose, dates the marriage of Millicent and Benjamin to June 21st, 1860, in Beverly Township. The clergyman is Rev. George Plowman. The groom is a farmer of Dumfries Township. Millicent is identified as the daughter of Henry Culham. We have no witness information.

The Wentworth County marriage register has been searched. Rev. Plowman filed marriages for 1858 and 1859, but not 1860 or 1861. A Rev. Price of the United Brethren Church filed a marriage return in Waterloo County showing three marriages for for the period of March to August of 1860. The marriages appear to have been located in the Blair-Preston area. One of the marriage was for a John Culme (Culham), son of William, and an Emily Sipes, both of Beverly. Nothing was submitted, however for the marriage of Benjamin N. Ward and Millicent Culham. The transcription from the Dumfries Reformer, as shown above, is all that we have to record this marriage.
