Rebecca Colvin, 20, born and residing South Dumfries. Parents Andrew Colvin and Agnes Law. Witness Andrew Colvin Jr., Dumfries On April 9, 1858 See microfilm N 84 reel 2P, Brantford Expositor, April 16, 1858, page 3. A brief marriage notice appears. It adds little to the above, but it does say that the marriage was performed at the house of the bride's father. Since the marriage registration seems to place the wedding in Paris it would be tempting to say that the family lived there, however we know that the family lived from 1835 at C3-L29. The marriage almost certainly took place in South Dumfries Township. |
