Our information for the marriage of James Maw and Ann Harris is taken from Ontario Marriage Notices, Thomas B. Wilson, Hunterdon House, Lambertville, New Jersey, 1982, page 235. This is in turn an extract from The Canadian Churchman dated 27 January, 1853.

This locates the marriage to St. Mary's Church in Tullamore and dates it to the 20th of January, 1853. The groom is James Maw of Albion and the bride as Anne Harris of Chinguacousy. These are townships in Peel County. Tullamore straddles the township line, but the village of Tullamore is mostly in Chinguacousy according to McGill University's The Canadian County Digital Atlas Project.

The clergyman was Rev. J. G. Armstrong.
