| Note | Joseph's oldest sister Elizabeth was born in Georgetown in 1850. The family was still in Georgetown in 1861, so it seems reasonable that Joseph was born there. His year of birth is calculated on his age at the time of the 1861 census taken in January at Georgetown. Joseph has not been found in the records after the 1871 census in Erin Township where he is with his widowed mother and family. No place of burial for him has been found. |
