| Note | James and Abigail had two sons they named Henry. The first Henry was born in approximately 1850. The 1851 census, actually done in January of 1852 and calling for the age as of the next birthday, shows Henry as age 2. The 1861 census shows him as age 11. Since James and Abigail had their second son Henry, full name Henry Drew Harper, in 1868, the first Henry will be deceased by that time. Certainly, he isn't in the 1871 census. Henry, so shown, age 3 in 1871, was born approximately 1867. No place of burial has been found for the first Henry. |
