| Note | We have little information for William Hezekiah Wilber. His wife was apparently Maria, but this remains to be confirmed. His gravestone is in Hunter Hoodless/Pioneer Presbyterian Cemetery in St.. George and he is identified as the son of Jeremiah, but beyond that, his date of death is sufficiently worn as to be indecipherable. This was the case with an early transcription done in the 1990s by the Brant County Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, and it is also the case with the restored stone that now stands upright in a new concrete base. The stone as it appears in the photo appears to be unbroken condition, worn on one side though it is.
We may say that Susan Moriah Wilber, per her marriage registration to Nelson Alexander Vrooman, was their daughter. She appears with her grandmother in South Dumfries at the time of the 1871 census, or at least we may reasonably say that this is she. |
