Witnesses Malachi Sager and Peter Misner. It appears as though the fathers were the witnesses to this marriage. There was indeed a Malachi Sager Jr., but he was only three years old at the time his older brother James was married to Ellen Misener. |

| Note | The 1891 Farmers' Directory for Beverly shows a James Sager on concession 4, lot D (apparently in the Gore of Beverly.) His postal address is shown as St. George. The 1895 directory provides the same information. McGill University's The Canadian County Atlas Digital Project, extracts from an 1875 atlas information that is mostly the same. This locates James Sager on lot D in the 4th concession (Gore of Beverly). He is shown as a farmer and cheesemaker. The one difference is that his post office is shown as Troy. Death reg. 030805-10 Galt, Waterloo Co. James Sager died August 5, 1910. Age Age 84. Born April 1826 in Beverly Township. REtired farmer. Married. Parents Malachi Sager, born Pennsylvania, Sarah Dean, born Saltfleet Township. Physician Dr. Charlton. Informant Geo. H. Crawford, Galt. |
