NoteElizabeth Perine (some family members spelled the name as Prine) was the daughter of James Perine and Amanda Moe. James was the son of Daniel Perine who appeared in Beverly sometime prior to the War of 1812 and leased what appear to be Clergy Reserves, probably for lumbering. Our best information is that Amanda Moe was the daughter of Benjamin Moe who appears in the 1832 census for Dumfries Township, east of the Grand River. See notes under Henry Moe and Teressa Coleman. Henry was almost certainly the brother of Amanda Moe.

Elizabeth had a brother Henry Prine, so spelled, who lived in South Dumfries Township and is buried in St. George Cemetery. There was also a brother Tobias who went to Michigan. Elizabeth's parents, James and Amanda Perine, are with Elizabeth and Conrad in Beverly in the 1871 census. Amanda is buried in Michigan and perhaps James Perine as well, though James, evidently a widower and in his old age, was apparently residing with Conrad and Elizabeth in Beverly when he died in 1891.
