| Note | Death information for George and Jannette is taken from the inscription on their stone in Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls. It may be that neither of them died in Canada. The 1900 U.S. census at Lehighton, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, shows them as boarders. Only son George, age 8, is with them. The census form states that Jannett has given birth to two children, of whom only one is living, so we must belive that Charles is deceased by this time. A burial for Charles has not been found.
George was likely dead by the time of the U.S. 1910 census, but Jannett has not been found. In 1920, she is in Niagara Falls, New York, with son George H., age 27 and son Harold W., age 15.
Son George, who died in 1955, appears to be buried near them in the same plot at Fairview Cemetery. |
