| Note | The following death registration has a problem, but is undoubtedly the death registration of Charles Keller, husband of Margaret Elizabeth Russell: Death reg. 021882-98 Niagara Falls, Welland County Chas. F.D. Kellar died June 7, 1898. Age 32 yrs. Customs officer. Born Buffalo, N.Y. Episcopal. Informant George L.C. Kellar. Date of registration June 9, 1898. All of the above information is correct, with the exception of Charles' age. It is possible that the recording clerk had a problem with the handwriting available, but another explanation might be that Charles' son George, who was the informant, misunderstood the question and gave his own age, which would have been approximately 32. This is based upon his age as given in various census records. |
