| Note | By the time of the 1891 census at St. Thomas, Elgin County, we find William and Amanda there with daughter Charlotte. Actually, Charlotte was born Charlotte Cooney and is the daughter of Amanda's sister Geraldine. What transpired isn't clear, but it appears that William and Amanda raised Charlotte and she is shown in this tree as Geraldine's daughter. Amanda's death is registered in St. Thomas, but her place of death is shown as Frome, a village in Southwold Township, in Elgin County. Her place of burial is shown as St. Thomas.
