Cause of death ...illeg...fever, two weeks. She was attended by Drs. Sutherland and Chamberlain. The illegible word in the cause of death may be 'malaise'. Two weeks before, Carrie gave birth to son James. Since the duration of her fever was two weeks it would appear that she died from an infection that occurred during child birth. A calculation of Caroline's birth date based on her age as it appears on her death registration would place her birth in the middle of January, 1856. Carrie is apparently buried in Lakeview Cemetery at Leamington in Essex County. |
