Note | At the time of the 1885 state census in Elmore, Faribault Co., Minnesota, George H. Vrooman, age 27, is still with his mother Eunice and step-father Simon Schneider. He has not yet been found in the 1895 Minnesota State census and may have left by this point. At the time of the 1900 US census, George is farming in Hebron Township, Kossuth Co., Iowa. With him is wife Hattie and son Ray. The census indicates that George and Hattie have been married two years. Ray was born in 1899. By the time of the 1920 census Ray, age 21, is still with them. Also with them is daughter Laura, age 17. This census shows Ray's place of birth as Iowa and Laura's as Minnesota. Other records show Laura as being born in Iowa. George and Hattie are still present in Iowa as of the 1930 census. It isn't known if they died in Iowa, but both are buried in Riverview Cemetery in Elmore, Faribault Co., Minnesota.
