Note | Clarissa was buried in Mountview Cemetery Galt. Clarissa's death registration is 035360-28. Her parents names are given as Dan Coleman and Mary Abel. The registration shows the birth place of her father, Dan Coleman, as Pennsylvania. (This is almost certainly incorrect. There is reasonable evidence to show that he was born in Beverly Township. The Colemans were in Beverly, though in the Copetown area, at least as early as 1811.) The doctor is Dr. J.G. Seaton of Sheffield. The informant is her daughter, Cora Cairns. At the time of her death, Clarissa was living at 76 Ainslie Street North, as was her daughter. The undertakers were Allen and Ray of Water Street North in Galt. Her ethnic origin is given as German. |
