Witnesses Laurance Slat and Evelyn M. Kidd, both of Wheatland. |
| Note | Cora's maiden name was Ensign, but she was previously married to Henry Caryl who was 25 when they were married in Sheridan, Mecosta, in 1891. According to the 1900 census at Millbrook, Mecosta, she brought three children to her marriage with Henry Main. The 1900 census represents their names as Main, but, considering the date of Henry and Cora's marriage, their birth names were Caryl. The 1900 census shows these children as: Clara, born Michigan in May of 1892 Adnie, born Michigan in July of 1894 (a birth registration suggests Edna is correct) Daniel, born Michigan in July of 1897 Also in the household are Frank Ensigne, born July of 1880 and shown as a border and as farm labor, and Nettie Ensigne, born May of 1882 and going to school. Henry Main died in 1904 and in 1904, Cora married Chester Warner. By the time of the 1910 census, Cora and Chester evidently have a family of their own and Cora's children from her first or second marriage are not present. It may be that Henry and Cora's son did not survive. |
