Melba Vera Sigsworth

     Melba Vera Sigsworth was born on 4 February 1899 in Keenansville, Adjala Twp, Simcoe County, Ontario.1,2 She was the daughter of John Sigsworth and Esther Wilson.1 She married first James Anthony Pappajohn on 2 April 1924 in Vancouver, British Columbia.1 She married second Percival Claude Broder, son of John Broder and Alice Mary Graves, on 25 June 1941 in New Westminster, British Columbia.3 She and Percival Claude Broder were divorced. After the divorce, Melba reverted to her first husband's surname of Pappajohn. She died on 30 November 1990 in Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, British Columbia, at age 91.4,5 She was buried in Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, British ColumbiaG.4

Her obituary in the Canadian Adventist Messenger in April 1991 read:
"Pappajohn, Melba (Sigsworth) was born at Beeton, Ontario February 4, 1899 and passed away at New Westminster, BC on November 30, 1990. She became a member of the SDA church at the age of 16. Surviving her are three children: Helen VanDenburgh, Douglas and William. There are also 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren surviving."2
