Harry Anderson

M, ID# 1696, (c 1922-)
Harry Anderson was born about 1922.1 He was the son of (--?--) Anderson and Ruth Alice Reinhart. Harry Anderson may have been known as Bernie Jones.2 He participated in the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), perhaps as an ambulance driver. He never married.3

Marion Doyle recalls that Milton's son was called Bernie. He was a few years older than she (b 1925). His Spanish War (1936-1939) participation would also indicate birth no later than 1922. However, Milton and Ruth were married in 1926.

Ruth's death certificate is signed by Harry Anderson, son.
The list of Spanish Civil War veterans includes a Harry Anderson; no Bernie Jones or Anderson.

So is Bernie Jones the same person as Harry Anderson? Perhaps Milton chose to call Ruth's son Bernice or Bernie in honour of Milton's older brother?
