     Matthew Murphy was born in 1873.1 He was the son of Philip Murphy and Alice Joyce.2 He married Sarah Ann Hamilton, daughter of Alexander Hamilton and Mary Ann Dunn, on 9 November 1910 in Elgin, Leeds & Grenville County, Ontario.1,2 He died in 1926.1 He was buried in St Columbanus Cemetery, Elgin, Leeds & Grenville County, OntarioG.1
