| Note | See page 296 of Andrew Taylor's Our Todays and Yesterdays. This tells that Ann Dryden married William Rae in Scotland. It also very briefly says that in Dumfries Township they lived on the Alps Road. William and Ann have not been found in the Canada West 1851 census, but they are in North Dumfries in the 1861 and 1871 census. William died in December of 1871; Ann is still present in North Dumfries, living with son John, as of the 1881 census. A death registration for Ann has yet to be found and just where William and Ann are buried has yet to be found. |
