Dan Walker & Fawne Stratford-Devai have transcribed this register and they have evidently attended at the Archives of Ontario and worked from the original register. This indeed shows the marriage of Christian and Hannah and their transcription appears below.

Global Genealogy, now of Ottawa, makes available this transcription and a printed or digital copy may be ordered from them.

NoteHannah and Christian, with their last name shown as 'Ahart', appear in the 1851 census of Markham Township. They have with them two sons, William, age 4, and Jonas, age 2. Of course, the way the age question asked for the 1851 census was: What is your age as of your next birthday? Add to that, the 1851 census was not begun in Canada West until January 4, 1852. How accurately this question was asked or answered no doubt varies.

By the time of the 1861 census, the family is in Mariposa Township of Victoria County and Christian and Hannah appear to have remained there for the rest of their days.
