| Note | Birth reg. 018534-72 Toronto, York Co. George Edward Lawrence born Oct. 6, 1872. Parents George Lawrence, carpenter, and Catherine Jenkins. Physician Dr. James Ross. Informant Mrs. Del. Woodworth, 247 King St. E., Toronto. The surname of Dr. Ross isn't entirely legible. The double ss in Ross does appear to be written in the older, antique manner. As it happens, sister Annie was also attended by Dr. James Ross, so it's safe to say that they were one and the same. A registration of death or place of burial for George Edward has not been found. The best that may be said is that he was not present with the family as of the 1881 census. Going by the Toronto City directory for 1873, 247 King Street East, was the residence of George Lawrence, carpenter. |
