| Note | Mary's death registration has some inaccuracies, evidently based on a misunderstanding of the questions. Death reg. 027791-25 Township of East York, York County Mary Husband, age 63, widow. Place of death 275 Monarch Park Ave. Born Canada. Parents George C. Husband, born Oakville, and Mary Arville Curtis, born Bronte. Informant George Husband, son, 275 Monarch Park Ave. Date of death April 21, 1925 Date and place of burial April 23, 1925, Oakville. Cause of death: Primary, Endocarditis since age 16. Contributary, paraplegia for many years. The informant was George Franklin Husband and he has given the name of his own parents rather than the names of his mother's parents. Apparently, Mary died at the residence of her son, Franklin. The 1911 census shows Mary with her children living in Oakville. Also with her is her mother, shown as Rebecca Curtis, age 71. Mary's mother's death registration makes it clear that her given names were Rebecca Jane. She died February 5, 1919, in Oakville. Rebecca's mother's name is fairly legible on the registration and appears to be Nancy McCubbin. Her father's last name was Lucas. His first name is not written legibly, but Rebecca's marriage registration shows his given name as William. |
