It may well be that the couple was actually married in Woodbridge, That best that may be said of the entries on the registration, however, is that the witnesses resided in Woodbridge. This is open to some interpretation. A marriage notice in a newspaper is probably the best likelihood for clarity. Robert is shown as a widower on his marriage registration with Elizabeth McKay. Who his first wife is remains to be found. |
