The marriage registration is a little more informative. 010966-78. The groom is Jacob B. Fellman, age 30, of Berlin. His place of birth was Waterloo. He was a batchelor and is said to be a merchant. His parents are Samuel and Christina Fellman. The bride is Elizabeth Delight Buckberrough (as spelled), age 25, of Waterloo. Her place of birth is said to be Preston. Her parents are shown as Daniel and Elizabeth Buckberrough. The witnesses are Ezra Fellman and Annie Taylor, apparently both of Waterloo. The place of marriage was Waterloo. The date of the marriage is shown as 6th November 1878. His religious affiliation is said to be 'none'; hers is said to be Methodist. The minister was Rev. R.W. Williams. The marriage was performed by license.

Clerks' handwriting on the various registrations is frequently sloppy and illegible. The clerk in this case is not named, but the handwriting is immaculate.

NoteThe source for Jacob's middle name is his will, 2059 F. His father-in-law Daniel Buckberrough was an executor.

Jacob's parents, Samuel and Christina are shown in the 1851 census inWaterloo Township as being ages 30 and 36, respectively. With them are Jacob age 4, Philip age 3, and Magdaline age 1.
