| Note | A baptism for John Albert Stockdale is found recorded in Vol. 4, Lambton Ministers' Records, Moore Church of England Parish Records, 1841-1866, and provided by the Lambton County branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. This tells of the baptism of four children of George and Elizabeth Stockdale on June 16, 1861. John Albert Stockdale, at age of approximately 17, was the oldest of the children. The officiating clergyman was David Armstrong. Only John's initials are given, but J. A. Stockdale was confirmed at Christchurch, Corunna, on August 11, 1861. Death reg. 019941-28 Moore Twp., Lambton Co. John Albert Stockdale died May 24, 1928. Widowed. Age 83 yrs., 10 mos., 29 dys. Born June 26, 1844. Retired. At place of death and in Ontario all his life. Parents George Stockdale, born Yorkshire, England, and Elizabeth Mary Coombs, born England. Physician L. R. Aiken, Courtright.
