Informant James Henderson, safe maker, Galt. James Robert and his brother William Henry Henderson were baptized on April 12, 1888, at Knox Church in Galt. This per microfilm GS2986 available at the Archives of Ontario. The baptism states the boys' dates of birth as being the same as their birth registrations and it also names their parents as James Henderson and Mary Davidson. Their places of birth are shown as being in Galt. The lads' father must have been finding work on a catch as catch-can basis, for James is shown as a barber. The baptism was a family affair, for baptized along with James Robert and William Henry Henderson were: Robert Herbert Davidson, the son of David Davidson and Mary Jane Henderson and George Arthur Koeppel, the son of Ed Koeppel and Ellen Henderson. All the children are shown as being born in Galt. The Davidson boy is shown as being born on August 12, 1887 (poorly written); the Koeppel boy is shown as being born on July 4, 1885. |
