| Note | Marjery's date of birth, Aprill 27, 1836. is taken from her death registration. This same document shows her place of birth as Galt, Ontario, Canada. Galt, prior to February of 1841, was in the Gore District of Upper Canada, after which Upper Canada was renamed Canada West. The baptism records of First Church in Galt shows Marjery's baptism as being on May 26, 1836. Rev. Strang entered the names of the children and the date of baptism; he did not record the names of the parents. The spelling of Marjery's name, so shown, is as it appears on her baptism record. This may be echoed on census pages, though it is sometimes difficult to tell whether a J or G was intended. On her death registration, the letter G (Margery) appears. The record of Marjery's death was found by way of a search of Ancestry using only her given name, but which also included her believed parents' names.
