| Note | A death registration for Anna Brewer Rittenhouse has not been found. What has been found is an obituary as provided by Mennonite Church USA Archives: MennObits. This tells that she died in Clinton Township on February 27, 1890, at the age of 67 years, 11 months, and 25 days. This computes to a date of birth of 2 March, 1822. The transcription of Anna's gravestone in Vineland Mennonite Cemetery has her age as 87. This does not work with her age as it appears in various census years. A birth year of 1822 is closer to it. Her obituary goes on to say that she was buried at Moyer's Meeting House on the 2nd of March. Vineland Mennonite Cemetery was sometimes referred to as Moyer's Cemetery. Census information has Anna's place of birth as Canada. Her parentage has yet to be found. |
