Informant Isaac Rittenhouse, South Cayuga. Christopher's gravestone has a photograph on Find-a-Grave. It isn't so easily read as the photograph of Barbara's. The transcription of the cemetery,however, was published in 1996 by the Haldimand County branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. They worked with an earlier transcription done by North Erie Shore Historical Society in 1984. The transcription shows Christopher's dates of birth, 25 December, 1812, and death, 22 April, 1886, as well as his age at time of death, 73 yrs., 3 mos., 28 dys., which does calculate to 25 December, 1812, as being his date of birth. |
