| Note | Anna's date of birth is taken from the transcription of Vineland Mennonite Cemetery as done by the Niagara branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. This tells that she was born on May 23, 1823. The 1901 census, however, records her birth date as May 11, 1823. In 1896, A Genealogical Record of the Descendants of Christian and Hans Meyer was published. This was written by Rev. A. J. Fretz. Page 109 has a very brief paragraph that tells that Annie Moyer was born on May 23, 1823, and that she married Michael Martin. It also records that they lived near Campden. This is in Clinton Township of Lincoln County. The previous page (108) tells that her parents were Jacob B. Moyer and Catherine Moyer (we are not informed if Moyer was Catherine's maiden name.) Jacob and Catherine are buried in Campden Mennonite Cemetery. Death reg. 016184-03 Clinton Twp., Lincoln Co. Annie Martin died Apr 24, 1903, age 79. Widow. Mennonite. Physician and informant Dr. F. Comfort. Registration shows her place of birth as Clinton Township. |
