Christoph Louman, 26, place of birth smeared and illegible, residing Woolwich. Parents names smeared and to a degree illeg., but mother's name appears to be Cathr. Burgle

Witnesses Henry Fellzinger and Fr (or similar) Fellzinger, both of Woolwich.
On 28th Jan., 1862.

This marriage registration has problems, but it's clear enough, especially working with later documentation, including burial information, that this is Susanne Margaret Filsinger and her husband Christopher Laumann.

Note further that a second marriage for Christopher has been found. He married Paulina Perschbacher Klahr in 1900. There, he shows his parents as Leonhard Laumann and Catherine Buergel.

DeathHe died on 25 March 1912 at Carrick Township, Bruce Co., at age 76.
BurialHe was buried at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Neustadt, Grey Co..
NoteDeath reg. 008616-12 Carrick Twp., Bruce Co.
Christopher Lauman died March 25th, 1912, at lot 20, concession 11. Date of birth June 2, 1835. Age 76. Born Germany. Retired farmer. Father's name... Lauman. Father and mother born Germany. Physician Dr. R. E. Clapp. Informant Conrad Hammer, or Hammel, of Mildmay.

Christopher's date of birth as shown on his death registration, June 2, 1835, agrees with the inscription on his gravestone in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery at Neustadt. This tells that his age at date of death was 79 yrs., 9 mos., 23 dys. This does calculate to June 2, 1835.

The Abstract Index for lot 20 on concession 11 of Carrick has been examined. It does not appear that Christopher was at any time in possession of even a portion of this lot. A Conrad Hammer was, however, and he was the informant in Christopher's death.
