Richard Wellington Roelofson born June 19th, 1873. Parents Emerson Bristol Roelofson, cabinet maker, and Eliza Ann Dennis. Physician Dr. Jas. Stimson. Informant E. B. Roelofson, cabinet maker, Beverly.

There was no registrar in the village of Troy. Registrations of births, marriages and deaths were submitted to Wallace McDonald, the registrar of Beverly Township. Wellington gave his place of birth as Troy on his marriage registration. If the family didn't live right in the village, they probably resided close to it. Certainly, the 1871 census shows Emerson with his parents and they were enumerated in the household immediately prior to that of John Gamble. John Gamble at this time resided on property bordering that of the village.

The 5 May, 1952, edition of the Toronto Star, on page 29, carried a death notice for Richard Wellington Roelofson of Galt. It tells that he died at the Galt Hospital on Friday, April 4, 1952. His home address is shown as 57 Lincoln Avenue in Galt. The funeral to be held on Monday, April 7, 1952, with interment in Mountview Cemetery.
