Widow. Born Galt on Nov. 24, 1850. Husband's name Emerson B. Roelofson. Parents Francis M. Dennis and Maria Kinsman, both born England. Physician Dr. J. L. King. Informant Frank Roelofson, 145 Cambridge St., Nephew. Burial April 11, 1936, at MVC, Galt. Betimes, places of birth as shown on death registration can be dubious, but, almost certainly, Eliza Ann was born in Galt. The family appears in Galt at the time of the 1851 census (begun in January of 1852). She is shown with her parents Francis and Maria Denis, spelled with one N. Also, that her mother was a Kinsman is reasonable if for no other reason than the Dennis family sits enumerated between a number of Kinsman family members who appears on the same page. Maria's parents were probably Nicholas and Mary Kinsman, both age 58, and both born in England, as were Eliza's parents. Nicholas Kinsman and his wife shown as Mary Coombs are buried in section 4 of Mountview Cemetery. |
