Burial Mountview Cemetery, Galt, December 4th, 1943, 2:30PM. Robert's death registration shows him as a widower. A sure marriage record for him has not been found. The Vernon directories for the city of Galt show Robert with wife Amy at 15 State Street in 1930, and also with wife Amy at 7 Concession Street in the 1936, 1940, and 1942 directories. A death registration for Amy has not been found. Since Robert is described as a moulder in at least one of these directories he is probably the same Robert McBride as appears in the above death registration. Available census information is no help in solving this one. The 1921 census is, for the moment, the last one available to us. This shows Robert as living with his sister Sophie in Galt at 8 Albert Street. They are the only two persons in residence at that address. |
