The bride and groom are described as being members of the Methodist Church of Canada. |

Note | Peter's birthdate and that of Emma and their daughter Maud are from the 1901 census. Peter's mother, Caroline, is with them. She is said to have been born on May 28, 1819. They are all said to have been born in Ontario. Peter, age 12, is with his mother Caroline in Ancaster at the time of the 1861 census. She is a widow with a large family. Caroline Templar appears as a widow in the 1871 census at Ancaster. With her are sons Samuel 27, Charles 26, and daughter Mary 24. At the time of the 1881 census taken at Dunwich Township in Elgin County, the Templars are with a William Drummond, farmer. Peter's death registration is 011578-14. His parents are named as Jesse Templar and Caroline Irwin. Peter's burial information is taken from an online transcription for Iona Cemetery. A death notice for Emma states that she was buried at Iona Cemetery. There is no indication of this on the transcription, but it is stated that the stone is broken. |
