Mary Charlotte McNaughton, 22, born Glasgow, Scotland, residing Sarnia, Lambton Co. Parents Hugh McNaughton and Mary Cameron.
Witnesses Henry P. Merigold and Jane McNaughton, both of Sarnia, Lambton Co.
On 17th October, 1861.

County marriage registers do not typically specify the exact locale of the marriage, however considering that the universal residences of all parties was Sarnia it does seem safe to say that this is where they were married.

James' place of birth is shown as Toronto. This will almost certainly be Toronto Township in what was, at his time of birth, the Home District. It s located in present day Peel County. See notes for James' father Amos Merigold.
