William Henry Widdifield died Apr 14, 1914, age 76 yrs., 4 mos., 21 dys. Place of birth Whitchurch, place of death Whitchurch. Blacksmith, married. Parents William Widdifield and Anna Wilson. Physician W. G. Hutt of Newmarket. Informant Mrs. W. H. Widdifield of Pleasantville.

Pleasantville had a post office from 1908 to 1931. Technically, it does show up on a modern map, but it's entirely a rural area. Some rural post offices were actually located in farm houses. When Mrs. W. H. Widdifield (Ellen) gave her address as Pleasantville, it was likely actually her postal address. Pleasantville, to the extent a community as such ever existed, is on the eastern outskirts of Newmarket. Pine Orchard, where William and Ellen are buried, is only a little east of Pleasantville.
