Parents James Watson and Jean Tweedie. James is buried in the same plot in Hollen Cemetery as his parents and his brother John. The inscription on the family gravestone tells that he is a native of Lanarkshire, Scotland, that that his age at time of death was 20 years and 19 days. His date of birth which was originally calculated from this worked out to 6 July, 1837, which agrees with the above birth and baptism information as is in the Scottish records. James died years before there were such things as recorded death registrations. Barring an obituary in a newspaper, we do not know the cause of James' death or his place of death. |
