| Note | Page 436 of the baptism book for 1819 for St. Peter's, the parish church of Leeds, shows Ellen, daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Craddock, as being born on 25th December, 1819, and also as being baptized the same day. This is not typical. A number of children were baptized the same day, but births for the other's were no later than November. The month of birth could be a clerical error. It is also the last baptism listed. It may be that Ellen was frail at birth and there was concern that the child would not survive.
The family's residence is shown as Timble Bridge and Benjamin is shown as a weaver. There is a word prefixing the word weaver, but it is illegible. |
