Parents Thomas Bell and Rachel Morton. Physician L. K. Sirrs. Informant Jeremiah Bell, Acton-West, Ontario Date of return August 29th, 1913. William's gravestone shows his date of death (per a photograph on Find-a-Grave) as 22 August, 1913. The death registration shows his date of death as August 28th and Jeremiah filed the report on the 29th. A mostly unreadable death notice for William is to be found on page 2 of the September 4, 1913, edition of the Acton Free Press. This tells that William died in Nassagaweya on Thursday the ...unreadable. Since the 28th is a Thursday and the 22nd a Friday, we must believe that William died on August 28th. William's date of birth appears on the 1901 census page, but this is quite unreadable. His date of birth as shown here, 13 September, 1852, is as it appears on his gravestone in Fairview Cemetery. |
