The only information that we have for the marriage of Daniel Anderson and Cristina McPherson is to be found in Warner & Beers History of Brant County. Page 650 tells that they were married on 6th March, 1834. This brief paragraph does not tell us where, but since the biography tells that the Anderson family came to Canada in 1825, they were probably married in the Dumfries Township area. Certainly the death registration of son John tells that he was born in (South) Dumfries in 1835. |

Sinclair, M.D., Paris. Warner & Beers 1883 The History of Brant County, on pages 649-650 presents a biography of Daniel. This tells that his parents were Daniel and Catharine Anderson and that they came to Canada in 1825 and spent the rest of their days here. Daniel was the Reeve of South Dumfries for some 18 years. The biography tells that he and Christina had three children of whom two, John and 'Christina Ann', were surviving. The biography goes on to tell that Daniel was a member of Dumfries Street (Presbyterian) Church in Paris. The identify of the deceased child has not been found. |
