| Note | John Jack's place of birth as shown on his marriage registration is Innisfil (Township). The 1851 census for any of the Simcoe County townships has not survived, but John is with his parents in Essa Township as of the 1861 census. He is shown as age 22. This is ill-written, but comparing other examples of the enumerator's handwriting on the page, plus taking into consideration his age as of the time of his marriage, 22 is a reasonable interpretation. |
