The 1901 census shows her date of birth as June 10, 1885, but her inscription on the family gravestone in Waterloo's Mount Hope Cemetery shows her year of birth as 1884. The 1891 census was begun on 6 April and this shows Ethel's age as 6, which tends to make 1884 the correct birth year.
A death notice for Ethel was placed on page 46 of the January 25, 1968, edition of the Toronto Globe and Mail. This tells that she died Monday, January 22, 1968, with the funeral service being held Wednesday morning. She is described as the sister of Laura Currie and interment to be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. |
