Delgatty. William's birth was entered with the name Delgatty, instead of the family's historic usage of Delgaty. In 1975, a correction emanating from Alberta, was entered which changed the name to Delgetty. We may note here that William's brother Lewis used the spelling Dalgetty on his military records. Such records as we have indicate that William was the last child born in Ontario. Certainly, by the time of the 1906 western census, the family was in Manitoba. |
