Note | A registration of death for Edward Kitchen has not been found. Neither has a place of burial. The best that may be said is that Edward Kitchen was living as late as March of 1870, for he filed the registration of birth for son Edward in South Dumfries on the 17th. Young Edward was born on February 26 of the year. The 1871 census in Ontario was begun on April 2nd of the year. There, Edward's wife Mary is shown as a widow. She has with her son Edward R. age 1. She is with her mother-in-law Cordelia Kitchen, who is shown as age 79. Mary Ann Van Every Kitchen did not remarry until January of 1872. |
