Find-a-Grave tells that he is buried in Kroonstad Old Cemetery, Free State, South Africa.

Library & Archives Canada shows a record for Jamieson (his name is recorded as James) and tells that he was awarded a medal for his action during the relief of Mafeking. It also has images of record papers as well as a photograph of his gravestone which record his date of death as September 5, 1901.
