| Note | Note that when William married Nancy Moffatt, his surname was spelled as Simkins. On this same form, his father's name is spelled as Simpkins. The family usage, however, was Sinkins and is so shown on the family's gravestones in Lakeside Christ Church Anglican Churchyard Cemetery in East Nissouri Township, Oxford County. Nancy is buried here under her married name, Nancy Sinkins. Her death registration shows her name as Sinkins as well. The Oxford County Cemeteries website does have photographs of the family gravestones,but they are not entirely readable. The inscription for Nancy Sinkin (Moffatt) who died in 1924 can be made out. |
