According to Floreen Carter's 1986 work Ghost & Post Offices of Ontario, a post office at Embro existed from 1836. The post office was established at Edinborough Hamlet and the name 'Embro' is, according to the information shown, an archaic 'Scotch' name for Edinburgh.

(Let's not get into Scotch is a drink and Scot's are a people. Spare me and Ms. Carter. Ontarians have referred to people of Scot's extraction as Scotch for centuries. John Kenneth Galbraith's The Scotch is an enjoyable backgrounder.)

DeathShe died in 1958.
BurialShe was buried at Section C, Harris Street Cemetery, Ingersoll.
